Tommy Castro is no stranger to the blues world. He is a six-time blues music award winner and has played thousands of concerts in front of many enthusiastic fans. He is renowned for his glorious blend of soulful vocals and blues-rock guitar playing.
Since 2012 he and The Painkillers have formed an energetic funky blues machine without any fuss and guarantees a phenomenal live show.
They clearly show that the foursome does not want to know about boundaries between genres on their latest studio album 'Stompin' Ground 'where funk, soul and R&B literally trickle through between all notes combined with a firm rhythm section and wonderful horns and keys. Last year Castro released the live album Killin 'it Live with The Painkillers, where Tommy also shows how he effortlessly alternates his raw soulful voice with screeching guitar solos; that will be no different during his show in Iduna!
