Taking the cues from the likes of Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, Bruce Springsteen, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn and Jack White, June Carter and Johnny Cash, KENTUCKY AVENUE wrangles the best that precedent can offer while weaving their own tapestry of Americana and alt-country threads. Their self-released Nothing Here is Mine features 12 original songs that combine the roots of classic country with a backline of get-up-out-of-your-seat, crank-up-the-volume rock rhythms. This Washington DC-based band features at its core the rich and rootsy blend of Notre Dame alum Stella Schindler’s powerfully poetic vocals and the melodic guitar musings of Dave Ries.
