It has been over 2 years since Daisy last played for us at Chapel Sessions so come along and catch up with her in March. In the meantime visit her website www.daisychapman.com to see her latest project.
Daisy combines an incredible voice with piano, accompanied by dramatic cello and violin to create captivating and moving songs. To draw comparisons from any single music influence is difficult, whether it is the honest and sometimes brutal story-telling of Nick Cave, or, the entwining of melody and chords like Regina Spektor, Daisy certainly knows how to craft a song and arrange the instrumentation so that the listener is constantly engaged.
In total she has played over 500 live concerts, including festivals such as Glastonbury, Wychwood, 2000 Trees and Breminale (Germany) and supported other artists such as Howe Gelb and Jenn Bostic. Her distinctive voice has also been used for films and a variety of TV session work. What is clearly evident about Daisy is that she is a true professional and an experienced artist.
Since we first saw and heard Daisy she has been commissioned by the BBC to write a song based on letter received from France in WW1.
