Mr Misery: aka Corey G Lewis, the Magician behind The Misery Men, brings his solo post-sludge noise venture of 'Western-Doom-Noir' in full force, think Dax Riggs meets Will Oldham at a Melvins show! He will be kicking off the evening, so get there early!

"It's the ghost of a dead man that worships you! I'm burning back the witch!"
Perhaps they are the Bonnie & Clyde of PNW Mountain Rock. This couple hail from Aberdeen Washington and they have definitely evolved from that same ponderosa pine sap that oozed from the Giants of their forefathers. They put on one of the most energetic shows I've witnessed. Complete fire!

If Roky Erickson and Siouxsie Sioux had a love child it would be the Perfect Monster! Moreover led by the wailing voice of Deanna Phelps, the White Witch that leads us through the dark journey of righteous riffs, powered up persuasive pounding percussion with rich and hearty bass! Summoning demons and casting spells, they are on my top 5 favorite bands list to catch in Portland.

When Big Business teamed up with The Melvins, minds melted instantly on that first dual drum beat exploding the ether and blasting 3rd eyes out of foreheads. Sounds like a good idea. I mean it's not completely uncommon to have 2 drummers in your band, but you don't see that as much in the heavy underground of muddy basement Rock, beyond the aforementioned Goliath's of Sludge. Yet here we are discussing a freshly bloomed band from Portland called Menin. I promise you they do not stink! BigMelvinsBusiness meets Rush in a back alley with YOB and everyone's playing dice, not craps, but some of these dice have more than four sides. These dudes are heavy duty and yet melodic enough to meditate on. Bring earplugs!
