A place with history
The Stechinelli Carré Wieckenberg owes its name to the famous Francesco Maria Capellini, called Stechinelli. The scion of an Italian noble family arrived in 1656 as a valet at the court of Georg Wilhelm, Duke of Calenberg-Hannover. As a favorite of the Duke Stechinelli managed an unparalleled career that made him finally become a court banker of the Guelph dukes. He also reorganized as General Erbpostmeister the three Guelph duchies the postal system and the long-distance transport and built numerous postal stations, as Wieckenberg. 1677 acquired Stechinelli the same noble estate. In 1692 he ordered the construction of the adjacent Stechinelli chapel in order, which was consecrated in 1699. Enjoy with your guests the historical atmosphere of a place with a long history and tradition.
