Paradox are delighted to announce they will playing playing with the Legendary Japanese Punk Rock band Shonen Knife when they stop off at The Crane Lane in Cork on Thurs May 8th as part of their Overdrive Tour.
Formed in Osaka 33 years ago the trio rose from humble DIY beginnings to joining Nirvana on their ‘Nevermind’ tour and trailblazing a path for women in music and inspiring legions of bands.
Favourites of Kurt Cobain, John Peel, Thurston Moore, Marc Riley, Gideon Coe, Radcliffe & Maconie, Jonathon Ross & Dan Hegarty the band are arguably the most influential and beloved Japanese rock export.
Live, they are a tight rock machine punching out fast, highly exciting sets of Punk, Pop, Rock & Metal hits coated with a unique life affirming quirky magic that as they fast approach their 1000th gig, shows no signs of fading. As Naoko says ‘Let’s Rock!’
“When I finally got to see them live, I was transformed into a hysterical nine-year-old girl at a Beatles concert.”Kurt Cobain
