Sharon Bousquet performs both original and select cover music in the Americana, A Cappella, Instrumental and Soulful Folk genres. Performing solo as a singing guitarist with a gift of a voice, stellar songs and deep skill on the guitar, Sharon is grateful for wide contributions by brilliant accompanying musicians like Tim Britton, Nick Bucci, Marc Arnold and Skyler Cumbia. Sharon has placed songs and scores in award-winning independent feature films (Cosmic Radio; Life Before Fairfield; Vertical), releasing 7 albums of original music and contributing to compilation CD projects to benefit women’s shelters and the HIV ward of the Vancouver Children’s Hospital.
A published poet and president of Bousquet Arts & Music Inc., Sharon recently launched a Wilmington-based publishing company Sharon Arden Books, creating a venue for original reverse coloring books, word search and an expanding list of other activity books for mindfulness and mental health. Each book utilizes stylized images of her original nature photographs for use in collage, scrapbooking, decoupage and ink tracing. The latest book is called Wood & Stone, with a focus on Chester County PA’s famous fieldstone barns and houses. They are available here https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B0FMX252W1, or directly from the artist.
In 2023, Sharon dreamed of creating a top-notch vocal trio with two other women vocalists from Delaware who are equally skilled on their instruments. And The Sugar Maples were born. TSM is: Erin Magnin (of the ascending and oft-touring duo The Honey Badgers), Sharon Bousquet, and Skyler Cumbia (rising instrumental genius, sought-after accompanist and harmony singer extraordinaire with a new release and many upcoming shows to enjoy).
The Sugar Maples are on hiatus for much of 2026 as members embrace a wider travel schedule, growing arts endeavors and recording projects.
Sharon is currently booking 2026 with a focus on Spring and Fall events and listening rooms, and a summer festival tour. House Concert Hosts are welcome.
