Hello, I am a Singer-songwriter living in Athol, Ma but grew up in Maynard, Ma. Cd's can be purchased at https://scottalansavoy.bandcamp.com/ . I have been playing guitar since I was 7 when my folks bought me a BlackJack acoustic guitar. Took lessons from the local barber for a short time then taught myself. My first music memories were riding in the station wagon with the family listening to classic country music on AM radio out of Waltham, Ma. We had a beautiful Victrola in the room across my bedroom so I would listen to Big Band records and Elvis Presley songs. In my teen years I spent a lot of time listening to Styx, Led Zep and Punk rock from the late 70's early 80's...My statement I suppose! I enjoy writing and playing and have been doing so since 1975. It is therapy for the soul! I am fortunate enough to live in a community with a lot of wonderful business owners who understand that local music and local business go hand in hand. Without these local owners local musicians would not have an outlet for their music. I gig pretty much every week playing covers of many genres and adding an original or 2 in.
