In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Memphis Music Commission will present the 6th Annual Emissaries of Memphis Music. A salute to the female ambassadors of Memphis Music, the event spotlights our creative heroines and their career accomplishments. Honorees include singers, songwriters, producers, educators, musicians, medical and legal personnel as well as supporters who have played a significant role in introducing the Memphis Sound to the world. Two categories will be introduced during the 2015 festivities, The Emissaries Choice Award and The People's Choice Award! Live performances by LOW SOCIETY and Sandy Carroll highlight the event and proceeds benefit the Memphis Musician Healthcare Fund, which provides free access to medical care for Memphis musicians. 2015 honorees include: Hallelujah 95.7 Program Director, Tracy Bethea; Singer/Songwriter Sandy Carroll; Royal Studios Administrators Yvonne and Lorraine Mitchell; Dr. Nance Chase; Gospel Songstress, Michelle Prather; Rudi E.
