Sandmist / Press

“Listened to Portent Of Shifting Leaders....really enjoyed it, it's a piece (conceptual) of very good metal and now I'm really looking forward to the parts that follow...part 2 (Galactic Repulsions) in the coming months. My Ms. liked it as well and considering her tastes does not go beyond Thrash (well like mine, sort of) it shows that it touches more than Deathers....the only downside I could find in the album, is that it is a bit too short, but maybe that's because I'm more used to longer tracks and albums, but I really wanted to keep on listening after 'Into Outer Space...' (which made me listen to the cd more than once). It might turn out as an advantage, because now I'm (and I'm certain there are others who are in the same situation) really looking forward to part 2. Thanks...and keep up the good sound coming”

“Oliver Grech has been experimenting with ideas as Sandmist for several years but it was only in the last year or so that his work began to crystallize in such a way that it came to my attention. I am particularly impressed by the growling from Vanja Plavic Obscure’s growling on this track. Listen to it closely and keep in mind that the growling comes from a teenage female voice.”

“Vanja Plavsic Obscure, a female vocalist and lyricist, recently contacted Anton van Niekerk about doing guest for Sandmist from Zebbug, Malta. She sent him the lyrics and Oliver M Grech, the man behind Sandmist, sent him the recording. "I was blown away and immediately agreed." said Anton. The track is now online on the Sandmist facebook and ReverbNation pages as well as the Verkrag facebook and ReverbNation pages." All music written, composed and performed by Oliver M Grech from Sandmist Lyrics and vocals by Vanja Plavsic Obscure Guest vocals by Anton van Niekerk from Verkrag”
