It all started in grade 5 when "The Jansen 5" exploded into and out of the music scene - all in one day! It was an air-band with a shot at glory in the annual talent contest. They lost - the band broke up.
Since becoming a part of the independent music scene in 1998, Robert has stamped his musical signature by crafting ultra-catchy pop music, laced with lush harmonies and power guitars. Robert's debut (self titled) CD found it's way onto radio and i Pods worldwide with songs such as "Rock Star", "A Little Bit Crazy"and "I Miss My Friend". Everything you hear in the music was written, performed, produced and engineered by Robert
Music Reviews:
Popbang Radio says: "It's been since 2001 since there has been a new Robert Jansen album, but after hearing "I Found You", it is well worth the wait. With influences like Cheap Trick, The Beatles, Sweet and Def Leppard, you can tell that this Canadian doesn't want to put out any second rate material. This up tempo, hook filled definition of power pop is just about as good as it gets."
L. Digiorgi says: "Robert Jansen is remarkably adept at crafting wonderful melodies and hooks, melding them with thought-provoking lyrics, and sealing the package with stellar production, and in this song he soars!"
