“The shows third act went by the name of RICKSTAR whose energetic performance style of ‘Jackie Wilson’ inspired dance moves and undoubtedly soulfully unique vocal tone left a lasting impression on the crowd. Taking to the stage with a ten piece band consisting of trumpet players to sixties girl group style backing vocalists I truly felt like I was in the presence of a Motown superstar. The crowd witnessed the powerful delivery of ‘Beat of my heart’ ‘You give me something’ and ‘Heart strings’ in songs that spoke convincingly about the power of womanly affections portrayed through the sassy dance routines and unison responses of the front mans backing trio, and despite there being a few issues to do with sound clarity this was by far one of the most entertaining performances of the Night!”
