Massachusetts native R.G.Williamson is a member of BMI and ISSA and an internationally published songwriter and musician. He blends decades of musical influences into his song creations with lyrics that are both dark and light-hearted in nature.
Vocal harmonies, melody and guitar hooks are the driving force throughout all of his songs that touch on subjects such as relationships, life challenges, inspiration, fantasy and the supernatural.
Some of his major influences include Bad Company, Joe Walsh, The Eagles, Tom Petty, Stone Temple Pilots, Tony Iommi, Michael Schenker and Johnny Cash.
R.G. released his debut alt/metal solo single , "Nothing", in January 2014.
On October 27, 2021, he released his first full length solo rock album, "The Solid State of Life in a Vacuum", from which the song "Meet Me in the Middle" reached #1 in June of 2022 on the Museboat Live Channel Top 25 Chart Show,. And finished out the year at #21 from the 100 best songs played on Museboat Radio.
In 2023. His song, "The Velvet Light" (from the same album), made it to the top 10 of the Museboat Top 25 Chart and has maintained four rounds of the yearend Annual Museboat Gala.
On November 17, 2023, R.G. released, "Boulevard Walking", his first single in over 2 years where he sings and performs all instrumentations. He is now working on more material to be released in early 2024.
Besides his solo efforts, R.G. is part of the international recording project, "Planet ERGH" along with Finnish musicians/songwriters Heidi M. Mantere and Erkki Vuokila. In 2023 Planet ERGH released six singles. Starting with their classic romance style debut, "My Way Home (Planet ERGH)", released on June 2nd and ending the year with a holiday homage to the band "The Carpenters". with the song "A Carpenter's Christmas" released on December 5th.
R.G. also produces and engineers Planet ERGH.
Formed in 2024, Wrench Work has become R.G.'s metal collaboration project, featuring many guest artists from around the world. In June of 2026, the project will release it's forth single.
In 2023 R.G. also made a guest appearance (guitar lead) on the alt/metal song "The Sickness of Emotion" by The Drew Snelson Project, released on November 10th. He plays bass guitar and performs backing vocals on the retro jam band stylings of "High Time (Pay Me No Mind)" by Da Boi Derinho, and appears as backing vocalist on "Christmas Time (City Lights)" also by Da Boi Derinho.
Past original projects and bands also include; Severed Spine, Imbalance, Enslaving Grace and Worry the Bones.
