Remedy is an alt-indie-funk-groove-rock trio based out of Halifax, who have fused rock with groove, funk, and alt-pop to create a sound and style that is completely their own. Formed in the mid-2000s, Remedy is about to release their 5th studio album, "The Journey Home"

Remedy is:
Steve Harley (vocals, guitar, keys)
James Bond (bass, loops)
Gil Roy (drums, percusiion, backing vocals)
Steve Harley - Steve was playing in bands since he was 18. He attended Dalhousie University Medical School receiving his MD in 1996. After 10 years of family practice, Steve eventually left the medicine to pursue music full time. In addition to writing, recording, engineering and producing 5 full-length studio albums , and co-producing 4 others (Devora, Sweet Tooth, Streel, the Rain). Steve has also authored several blogs and a one-of-a-kind, rhyming-sci-fi novelette, "The FIbersphere".
James Bond - Jim has accompanied Steve in several previous recording projects (Devora, Sweet Tooth, The Rain, Streel), becoming the veteran of the bottom end, both in the studio and onstage, knowing exactly what to play, by virtue of the musical telepathy that gets forged when 2 players jam for as many years as they had. Jim also created and runs his own business in signs and graphic design and vehicle graphics.
Gil Roy - Gil joined Remedy in January 2008. He is a veteran of 17 years as a touring musician throughout Canada and the United States. He’s played with artists such as Jimmy Dooley formally of The Platters, Full Circle and most recently Hal Bruce and the Hired Hand Band.
In 2009 Remedy released their album titled “Paleofedelity” with their single “Up from the Bottom” getting airplay commercial radio from coast to coast. A second nation-wide release followed with "Rude Reaction".
“Paleofedelity” was followed by their second full-length album titled “The Tyranny of the Smug” which showcases the bands evolution in songwriting. It was their longest studio-recording to date, consisting of 16 songs.
