A quick glimpse...
Entertainment developer Reid Martin Basso, was a singer, entertainer and promoter in San Jose's notorious '80s and '90s nightclub scene. It was then that he started a theater company, and ran a live music PR cooperative. However, his love of music was Basso's main passion.
In 1988, Basso and college buddy Sid Maestre, Jr. formed, recorded, and performed as DETSKY MIR, an underground new wave synth band. Maestre accomplished all synth programming and arranging while Basso oversaw marketing, vocals, lyrics and tour management.
Later renamed in 2007 as DETSKY MIR PROJECT has performed and recorded music on and off ever since.
Following college, Basso entered the United States military. As a disabled U.S. military veteran, he has since become an advocate for causes personal to him: His Christian faith, veteran issues, PTSD recovery, mental illness, and youth autism.
In addition to producing and writing, Basso's career arts endeavors have included radio, documentaries, film, screenwriting & various spokesperson roles. Today, Basso advises on emerging audience trends and arts investor relations while spearheading Yesterday Records, LLC.
On his former San Jose radio show, “UpStaged,” Basso predicted Nashville would be “the next big show biz launch pad.” Married with kids grown, dogs and 10+ rescue cats, Basso relocated to a small Nashville farm a few years leading up to 2020.
Sheep, a family cow, a horse -or two- and maybe some chickens are on the "soon-to-follow" list... But, no goats.
…Goats are crazy.
