“One of the most striking albums of original Folk and Americana to be released in late 2010, "Animal Skin" serves up a savory platter of roots, sultry blues, and the sweetest of ballads. Produced by the late, legendary Kenny Edwards, the album bears Edward's trademark blend of minimalism and exquisite performance. Like Edwards, Troon is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, playing banjo, guitar and piano on these tracks. All other instruments ␣ except percussion ␣ are played by Kenny Edwards, including mandolin, cello, fiddle, box, harmonium, and other guitars. Animal Skin is an album both sensual and sensitive; emotional and metaphysical; carnal and mystical. It is also a simple delight to listen to...beautifully played banjo and guitar, and a voice second to none. You can check it out for yourself and order it (either as an album or download) at www.CdBaby.com/cd/rebeccatroon.”
