In a bid to raise enough money to maintain their vital services for young people in the heart of the Cardiff City Centre, the youth organisation known as Grassroots Cardiff will be hosting a one of a kind night of live acoustic music entitled #RootsWales, with an array of fantastic musicians, all of whom found their own roots in Wales. Headlining the show are indie-soul masters Peasant's King who recently featured on BBC's Horizons 12 2015. They are supported by the terrific Sian Evans, who found success as the front of her band Kosheen and as a solo artist with DJ Fresh on his No. 1 UK hit Louder. Joining the line up are Ragsy & Bronwen Lewis, two brilliant singer-songwriters who represented Wales on The Voice 2013 with the latter also landing a part in Wales-based hit movie Pride, Colum Regan, author of The Fly and a latest favourite in the Cardiff live music scene and Caroline Harrison, Pembrokeshire's finest and recent BBC Radio Wales Artist Of The Week. The event will portray a glimpse into how young musicians working with Grassroots can develop into fantastic artists and climb to great successes. It is part of a CrowdFunder campaign with various live music events and fundraisers all over Cardiff. The campaign ends on the 26th of June, so grab your tickets for #RootsWales and support your local youth organisation by treating yourself to a night of top-class live music.
