The Atkinsons CD release show for "Mile Marker" Early show 6-9pm, all ages, no cover! The Atkinsons follow up "American Gothic" with their second release "Mile Marker", which takes the band on a journey through new territories of swampy roots and country swing to Texas Cajun and straight-up rock. Though cut from the same cloth, the new album doesn't pick up where the first left off. It follows its own path from the back roads to the highways that inevitably lead you back home. "Mile Marker" is set to be released in 2011 and celebrates where the band has been and where it's headed. The Atkinsons proudly support the Henrico Humane Society! Please donate at the show! Henrico Humane Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of companion animals in the Greater Richmond area. HHS takes in animals that have been put into shelters, found on the side of the road, or surrendered by their owners. The majority of these animals live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. Last year, the all-volunteer organization helped over 400 animals find good homes! The money raised through this fundraiser will be used to pay for the medical attention that these neglected and abandoned animals need before they are placed in a permanent home.
