    Willoughby Symphony presents INSPIRED BEGINNINGS ON The Concourse, Conducted by STEPHEN MOULD with Guest Soloist BRENDA JONES Saturday 16 November, 7pm Sunday 17 November, 2pm Pre-Concert Talk: 50 minutes prior to each performance The Concourse – Concert Hall 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood Beethoven: Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage 2013 Fine Music 102.5/Willoughby Symphony Young Composer Award Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor Mendelssohn: Die erste Walpurgisnacht Stephen Mould, the Chair of Operatic Studies at the Conservatorium of Music returns to conduct the final concert for 2013. Brenda Jones who has previously appeared with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra will perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, written by Chopin at 20 years of age. Die erste Walpurgisnacht was composed when Mendelssohn was only 22 and is considered one of the most beautiful and lyrical works for orchestra and choir. This spectacular event includes the presentation of the 2013 Fine Music 102.5/Willoughby Symphony Young Composer Award.
