About the Artist

The Full Biography of Plush Sanches Career The Early Years: Foundations in Vine City (Ages 12–16) Born Jerry H. Strong III on September 30, 2000, Plush Sanches was raised in Atlanta’s historic Vine City neighborhood. Immersed in a community where music was a constant heartbeat, he began his journey at just 12 years old as a producer and beatmaker. By 2016, he transitioned from behind the boards to the booth, developing a "genre-blending" style that combined technical precision with authentic Atlanta storytelling. The Academic & Technical Pivot (Ages 17–18) In 2017, Sanches balanced high-level academics with professional industry training. While a creative leader at Booker T. Washington High School—where he was a fixture in the Poetry Club, Art Club, and a performer at pep rallies supported by the staff—he also participated in dual enrollment at Atlanta Metropolitan State College. During this pivotal year, he secured a career-defining internship at Brickwall Studio ATL. Under the guidance of executive Mike Dozier, Sanches studied professional audio engineering, mastering the technical skills that allow him to maintain complete independent control over his production and mixing today. His dedication was further evidenced by attending the A3C Festival through a summer program, witnessing industry disruptors like Cole Bennett—an experience that solidified his vision for independent success. The 2017 Breakthrough: The Helicopter Meeting Sanches’ rise is rooted in a legendary industry moment. In 2017, renowned music executive Cortez Bryant (Lil Wayne, Drake) arrived at Booker T. Washington High School via private helicopter. Although Sanches was away at dual enrollment classes, his younger brother and the school community represented his talent so effectively that Bryant contacted him directly. This led to a formal meeting at Bryant’s Atlanta office and an invitation for Sanches and his brother to join the exclusive "Family Scorpion" section as Bryant’s personal guests, sparking a lasting professional mentorship. Global Infrastructure & Strategic Independence (2019–2024) Sanches solidified his business empire by founding DaOne Records and the lifestyle brand UDaOne Fashions. He became a Songtrust Amplified member in 2019 and was later grandfathered into the Virgin Music Group (VMG) division, the global independent arm of Universal Music Group (UMG). His songwriting prowess earned international acclaim in 2020 as a recognized talent in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC). His global dominance is further fueled by a private foreign agency managing his international master licensing. Today, Sanches’ catalog is ingested into the global infrastructure of commerce, securing placements across hotel intercoms, broadcast phone lines, cruise ship networks, and elite in-store platforms including Stingray Music, Mood Media, and Xenox (Netherlands). Driven by a strong sense of integrity, Sanches turned down several major record label deals to retain 100% of his masters and creative freedom. Present Day: Legacy (2025–2026) Now an elite independent force, Sanches’ career reached a historic pinnacle when his body of work was officially inducted into the British Library Archive via TJPL News, ensuring his contributions to music are preserved for future generations.
