NEW SINGLE: WONKY
[This is a song that I wrote and performed during last Winter 2025. It is about finding out the prejudices that some women have to face because we are all different and we have different expectations! I hope those ex dates don't mind! Disability lesbians can relate to this song too!!!]
Priscilla Jane Derricott who records by her artist solo name "PJ Rox," is a British recording artist, singer, rapper and songwriter. She was born in London, England. Priscilla expressed her love for music from a very young age. As a small child, piano teachers took notice of her abilities and suggested she develop her talents by joining a drama school to do musicals, and study music at University. This helped her to really develop as a singer, but she still had a very deep love for 70’s and 80’s Pop and Rock music. When Priscilla was only 2 years old her mother would put on Abba and she would immediately start dancing, babbling and singing when going travelling at the back of their car. Her parents knew she had something special, so she took up piano lessons at the age of 7. She continued in college and university, doing songwriting with band colleagues and friends in order to build a solid repertoire of music. One of her close friends and neighbours is actually a BMG producer from Portugal and immediately decided to work with Priscilla in developing a sound that is all their own. From then on they recorded together producing a number of tracks for an Album and an EP. She is now working on her next few new songs at Chapter Street Studios in Pimlico, London, for what is to be her next EP to be released this coming year. Priscilla is determined to not lose her sound that makes her more original. She comments, "Right now you have a lot of singers singing in America trying to plastically sound like they are from Hollywood." Priscilla credits Agnetha Faltskog as one of her longest role models due to her creative approach to music, as well as Katy Perry in her take on songwriting ability.
