Sounds Like: The Band, Son Volt, Little Feat, The Avett Brothers, Alabama
Bio: Foot Stompin', Hand Clappin' good time! After all becoming good friends involved in multiple projects with other groups, the pioneers finally merged their talents together in a harmony driven, high energy folk rock roots movement.
"The Pioneer Chick'n Stand Band from Fort Payne played Jilly's for a repeat performance and had the crowd on it's feet. Both McGriff and Croxton are strong vocalists and talented musicians, McGriff handling the flat-top guitar duties, and Croxton thumping the bass and playing the harmonica. They describe themselves thus: "Foot-stompin', handclappin' good time! And you know what? They are right. They are a foot stompin', handclappin' music machine. This is why I am glad I crossed the road - to see the Chick'n Stand Band."
