Socially conscious Cree singer/songwriter Phyllis Sinclair masterfully creates songs that captivate the heart and the imagination, weaving elements of her Cree culture into the raw realities of her life experience to produce works that have earned her international attention. A true storyteller, Phyllis poignantly creates verbal images that transport the listener to places, times, and experiences they might not otherwise encounter. Not since the time of the Egremont Beer Bellies and their dominance of baseball's semi-pro circuit has the hamlet of Egremont been at the epicenter of so much fun and entertainment...yes, ladies and gents, EGREMONT DAYS is nearly here!! So on Saturday, June 2nd come on down to Egremont Community Hall for a stomp rompin' good ol' time, starting at: 8:00 to 11 am - pancake breakfast, featuring the young, rising singer/songwriter sensation, Hanna Prymych (9:30 am) 11 am to 6 pm - Parade and tons of fun to follow 6 pm to midnight - BBQ and Bands ** licensed event (sorry, no minors), featuring celebrated Canadian folk singer/songwriter, Phyllis Sinclair (8 pm) and yours truly, FROM THE GROUND UP (10 pm)!!! Other details: tickets for BBQ and Bands available at door ($15) and free camping available on South end of town!!
