Pirates, Guitars & Beachfront Bars

Pirates, Guitars & Beachfront Bars combines the genres of Rock, Country, Pop and Reggae to produce their unique brand of what is called “Trop Rock”. “This isn’t Jimmy Buffett. This is Jimmy Buffett amped up on a whole lot of Red Bull” quips Jim Johnson, the founder and producer of the band. Since the spring of 2015, PGBB has set out to create a sound that incorporated the classic rock elements of artists like The Rolling Stones, The Police and Huey Lewis with the tropical colorings of artists like Bob Marley, Shaggy, Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney. The result is a fun, energetic and world themed party from head to tailfin. A perfect centerpiece to any summertime event. Although PGBB plays a lot of great hit covers in their own unique way, their original material is equally as entertaining. Since the debut Pirates, Guitars & Beachfront Bars album was released, they have received airplay all over the world and have been a strong seller on iTunes. You can also fine PGBB songs streaming on many “Fun In The Sun” playlists on Spotify. In addition, approximately 10,000 physical copies have been distributed throughout the US, Canada and Australia. Pirates, Guitars & Beachfront Bars plans to continue playing and creating just as they are. As the audience base continues to grow, the release of their second CD in the Fall is creating a strong buzz among its fan base which includes parrotheads, sailors and music enthusiasts world wide.
