I am a writing drummer who plays all the instruments on my solo work. No punch ins, No loops, No programs. All tracks performed live and played straight through.
The driving force behind many of the most innovative bands to come out of New York City in the 1980's, Peter Raymond has a sound totally his own. Ignoring trends and fads, he has changed the landscape, not only for drummers, but for all composers. In an era where drums were basically 4 on the floor and used as more of a metronome, Peter brought the drums forward, playing them at times as the lead instrument, sometimes rhythmically, sometimes melodically, always innovatively. No matter what music Peter plays, he brings an abundance of talent and imagination unseen in recent years. His most recent solo works are not only composed by him, but every instrument is being played by him, as well. All elements of the music are done completely in house.
