Paula Held, with Paul Haake on guitar Saturday, July 11 Linda's Fine Foods 500 FM 2325 Wimberley TX www.lindaallencatering.com (512) 847-5464 7-10 pm ### Paula is an Austin-based performing songwriter with a penchant for melody, storytelling and poetic lyricism. Raised in New England and Spain, her music is informed by a variety of influences from classical music to popular jazz, folk, rock and blues. She's won songwriting kudos from internationally known songwriting clubs like the Kerrville Folk Festival, Wildflower Festival and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (double finalist). She’s performed in these hallowed Texas listening rooms: the Cactus Cafe, Bugle Boy, Anderson Fair and Uncle Calvin's, and at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and Eddie's Attic in Atlanta. Paula's music is described as lyrically rich, melodic and sensual. Her voice is cited as reminiscent of Eva Cassidy and Nora Jones. DRIVE: “A curiously addictive marriage of folk, pop and jazz influences.” - Arthur Wood, Maverick Mag UK www.paulaheld.com www.bandcamp.com/paulhaake
