Black Market Garden sounded better than ever at Lola's April 9 festival! Senior Amos G added tasty lead guitar, and Eliza D harmonized wonderfully on their epic song "Wednesday Girl".
CAM senior Justin King is subbing on drums for Feletha Black tonight at the venue Shipping & Receiving. Two recent grads, Rahmaan Price & Elizabeth Reed, are performing soulful backing vocals. With a deep and wide pool of music talent, and a state-of-the-art studio, it's like a new Motown around here. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Southwest-CAM/106846336065390?fref=ts

Senior vocalists Jack Bellomy and Tamerick Brazzell performed songs from the Best of Southwest at the Fort Worth ISD School Board meeting May 27. See them and many more talented musicians perform at our Best of Southwest concert June 3 in the Southwest auditorium with full stage production. Doors open at 6, and it's free fun for the whole family.
Thanks to novelist/designer Chip Kidd (also of the band artbreak) for collaborating with FWISD CAM students on the new song "signals", and inviting them to perform with him at the Dallas Museum of Art.
Southwest H.S. contemporary music program has been asked to perform at the grand opening of Cendera Center, a lovely new Fort Worth soundstage and event center. We've prepared several student ensembles to perform in a wide variety of styles with support from a crew of Southwest's media tech students. Enjoy top chef catering, pro bands, and cirque style aerialist entertainment too! More info and free tickets are available at http://cirqueducendera.eventbrite.com/
