It is said that a person that represents themself in a court of law has a fool for a client. This is also true of musicians who try to take shortcuts by representing themself. Never before has being with a reperable agency been more important to the success of a performing artist. Better to have a small agency than none at all, especially if you plan on touring at all. A lot of agents aren't just people who like musicians. A lot of them, just like myself, have been there, done that and know the ropes. If you've got the talent, you've got the choice.
