FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Texas Country Cares, the official charity of the Texas Country Music Association, Inc., is raising funds to assist a fellow musician/singer whose home, possessions and musical equipment was destroyed in the Louisiana flooding.
You can make a donation to Texas Country Cares through the Texas Country Music Association, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS. Memberships are also available for individuals/fans, artists, media, retailers, recording studios and other businesses who are directly or indirectly involved in the Music industry in Texas. Visit www.texascountrymusic.org for more information.
"We may not be able to help everyone, but we can help someone," say Linda Wilson, President of the Texas Country Music Association, who founded the organization along with the Texas Country Cares charity." she continues, "This person is very close to our heart, an awesome guitarist and singer who plays with a popular regional band, and we want to help him and his family." Mrs. Wilson declined to disclose the person's name as not to embarrass him, but will disclose it privately to donors or through private connections.
Country Superstar Mark Chesnutt is the TCMA/TCC official spokesperson. Press releases, PSA's and more information will be distributed in late September or early October through the social media sites for both Mark and the TCMA.
"The devastation in Denham Springs/Baton Rouge area is absolutely unbelievable," says Wilson. "I want to have funds readily available through Texas Country Cares to help people in times of emergency, disaster or other benevolent ways, so donations will be accepted on an ongoing basis. If we as Texans come together to help our neighbors, we can make a real difference and our voice will be heard nationwide."
To make your cash donation, please visit www.texascountrymusic.org or if you have gift cards or other tangible donations, contact Linda Wilson @ tcma@texascountrymusicassociation.org.
