Mario's Metal Mania Review: Perseverance 2013 http://www.mariosmetalmania.com/CDDVDreviews.html Another Metal Over Oostrozebeke compilation cd, which is a collaboration between M.O.O. organisation and Malevolence Records. This brings us some songs of the bands that played there at the festival in 2012. First up is Mad At Sam with their song 'D.C.'(Districts of Criminals), which is a cool crossover/thrash metal track in the M.O.D. style. Next up is Aegror with 2 songs, which is a more darker kind of metal, 'Behind Walls' and 'Prophecy' sound really heavy, bit more doomy almost, but really refreshing. Sanity's Rage is up next with also 2 ripping tracks of melodic thrash metal, really great stuff this is. 'Once You Cross' and 'Taste Of Decay' do taste good, and wanna make me hear more of this great band! T.C.F. or ThrashCoreFanatics are next with only 1 song, 'Mean Machine' which is fast and mean, but sound quality is a bit less on this song, which was originally done by Motorhead, although they did a somewhat slower version. Leave Scars brings us 'The Arrival' and 'Trapped', and is more traditional US metal, not bad at all, although production could have been a little better, but the quality of the band comes through, interesting band. Ulysses Siren delivers 'Justifiable Homicide' old school bay area thrash metal, really cool to hear this great band again. KAOS up next with 'Blood Red Eyes', great thrash metal attack from yet another great band. This song appears on their Validated in Blood EP, also reviewed on this site. Last band on here is our own X-tinXion with their song 'The Divine', really refreshing with the grunts and clean vocals of Monica, does almost sound like The Agonist, great metal band from the Netherlands to final this album.
