Enjoying some of your great tracks today, Hollis! I'm playing "You Are Hera" and I really love the mid solo and your other synth work! "Save Me" has that cool Sade beat and vibe. You're making St Kitts proud with your work, buddy! ππ
Wow! Hera! Love song alert! There are two divergent schools of thought here for me. One echoing the purest altitude of love being paraphrased perfectly with this incarnation of Greek mythology - and for me, splits the 'G' bang on in my nans glass of Guinness, my grandpops whistling away, snipping his orange chrysanthemums for her.
Secondly, your beautiful simple lyrics perfectly poise such pedestals! And all the domino 'nods from the gods' to the suffragettes and the mothers and women of today and a sweeping, revolving, marble tiling exercise in reality! Course, if the trans lobby wanna join in, these songs oblige everything for they/them too if they dive deep enough! Just like life really! Feeling esp, your jackpot juxtapositioning of The World Keeps Turning ....And to all those mothers on the other side - incandescence was never so iridescently exposed! Xx
Hey Mandy...wow! That's probably the most in-depth critique of my songs ever! I know how I feel when I write my songs, but I could never explain them as eloquently as you have. You obviously get me! Hera is a love song with a difference, based on my love for Greek mythology. The World Keeps Turning has more socio-political overtones as you've pointed out. You definitely listen to more than just the music! Thanks for your support xx
Cheers Baz. I really appreciate your collab on that one. And I can't believe how difficult I made the chord progressions for myself :-) Have a good week buddy.
Happy Friday, Hollis! I'm enjoying "Save Me" (Demo). The beat and feel reminded me a lot of Sade's music. Pro work as always, buddy! Have a great weekend! ππ
