SECOND SOUL - Beyond The Infinite CD
#
This group is amazing. When you pop the CD in and the first song that you hear is 'FLIGHT'. Talk about a powerful instrumental. Hearing this song you know why they say that Troy Stetina is a guitar master. The next song 'SHOCKWAVE' really caught me by surprise with it's heaviness and I really felt as if the group was coming to take me down! (haha) The song following Shockwave; 'MORE LIFE', i
As I am continuing to listen to the songs, you can really hear how the songs are coming from the heart with the writing. To write songs about actual life experiences and to share with your fans is something that we can learn from. People often get an image of rockstars as having a different kind of life than the rest of us, but you hear in the words that we are all the same and just want the sam
same out of life. SHINEDOWN really hits the soul and of course Troy's guitar playing outshines in this song! MY REALITY is another one of my favorite songs on the CD. Troy's guitar playing is WOW, what can one say? SHREDDERIFIC! and the vocals, they just kind of give the spine a nice chill! I love sitting back with my eyes closed and just take in the words and music when listening to 'BURN'. The drums, bass, guitar and hearing the words, you can just feel the emotions. 'DEEP END' wants me to just reach in and offer my hand to save the person who is fighting for another breath. Again I have to say with the songwriting, it's very heartfelt and profound. It is another one of those songs that people can just relate to. You feel like you have been given so much that you are drowning but in the end you know that you will make it and be ok. 'DECEIVER' is a killer song coming straight from the start. Once again, Troy's skills outshine on this song. 'STILL PHOTO DAY' makes me reflect on the times that I missed out spending with my biological father. The words again are so heart felt, just makes me want to go and give everyone a hug that is struggling with loss. It's an absolutely beautiful song. 'GOODBYE' is an awesome song. Starting with Troy's awesome guitar playing and leading into the vocals. You have the hard edge of the bass with some fast guitar playing and the drums just add to the edginess of the song. When listening to the words, you can't help but say goodbye to your past and look towards the future. The songs ends perfectly with, once again, Troy's amazing guitar skills. 'BEAUTIFUL' is just a perfect song all around. It's starts out nice and slow, gets a bit heavy and mellows out again but ends with a perfect hard edge. The vocals are just outstanding! The song just sends shivers throughout my entire body. 'IN PIECES' i'm not a big bass lover but I was like "wow" with this song. The way the bass and guitar just kind of flow together in this song is just outstanding. I can't get over the skills that the whole group has. 'INVINCIBLE' is way over the top. I love how BEYOND MIND leads into such incredible playing. This time it was just everything...the drums, bass, guitar, vocals. This song is incredibly tight. Troy's guitar playing is extraordinary. I could sit for hours listening to this song. WEll, the whole CD for that matter really. 'BETTER DAYS RUNNIN' the last song of the CD makes me just want to get up and hold on tight for the better days that are to come.
The whole CD is amazing. The group is really tight with their sound and if you don't have it, this is a MUST add to your collection.
