James was a true gift to the musical community, to young artist here on Reverbnation and around the world. I want you to know that I considered him one of my favorite people on here: not just as an artist, but also for his mentorship and willingness to take the time to encourage and uplift others. So very sad to hear this news. A great bluesman, musician and friend. Supportive of many fellow musicians around the world - including me; for which I will always be grateful for. The legacy of his music speaks for itself. A sad day.

Dear Patty Sorry I never got to see you or James but the one thing I remember he told me about you was how he was busy painting for you in the house one day.. He said it so lovingly and I know he loved you so much I've been playing all of his songs almost every day for a year now ever since I got on reverbnation and if I may tell you ... He was one of the sweetest guys ever I loved him so much as a friend and knew he was a wonderful talented man I loved his music One day awhile back he said Bonnie please don't say anything but I've been real sick and they found something .. So I won't be able to play your music that much but will when I can..He never let me down He said he loved the way I always left comments about his songs and actually listened to them..I had 2 very favourites When I was young and the eyes of a child and then he put one on called The End Of The World That one was also a very straight to the heart song.. I'll miss him more than I can ever say One day when I just started out on here He said it'e outdoor patio day and speakers are turned up playing your music Bonnie,, That boosted my confidence that I never had before.. It's funny how you can know someone so well and never have met them in person..
