There is a remarkable quality in your voice during Today. I hear hints of what makes Julee Cruise memorable in there. I wonder if you were to write something with the vocal style of "Today" but with a slower, more ambient instrumentation, how that could turn out? Your voice does lend itself to country music but I believe that there is something much more unique that you could also be creating with.
I look forward to hearing more of your songs.
