you know how it is, you think of thousands of band names and half of them seem stupid the next day, and the other half are already taken. To stop the downward spiral we hired a professional neologist (a person who names things) who generally works in the corporate world naming companies and products, but who wanted to name a band, and thus reduced his usual fee. He made us all fill out cool questionnaires, processed the info and then spit out two hundred names. We hope the name is open ended enough for people to attach their own meanings to it, but: Om = the original mantra symbolizing the ultimate Reality - Om' is the primal sound or vibration from which the entire universe constantly emanates. It is the sound of creative departure and return. It is thus the essence of all Mantra.
