Atlanta, GA - Yet another stunning night with 2hot4radio in the building at Metro Fuxon in the south part of midtown Atlanta. It was an event one of many events hosted by comedian, “Miss Wall Street”, 2hot4radio (Jovan Myrick; editor in chief), and CFox productions (Carlos Coleman; CEO). There were several very influential yet fun-loving affiliates, some of whom were artists, producers, and pillars of the community at this event – most whom I had the pleasure of meeting in a “one on one” sit down face to face intimate interview amidst the performances of the night. There was a definite vibe of promise, potential, and positivity in the air that night. Then again, that is just what the folks at 2hot4radio represent: promise, potential, positivity. With a host of a few artists to match, “Big Jay”, born in Miami, Fl whose been rapping since 2008, is also a producer of “beats”, and an occasional host at Room Service night club in Atlanta. He also has a networking company Mix Stones 3 years in the making. But the main component in his artistry arsenal is playing the drums; which he says is his ultimate goal in the music industry. He has been playing drums since the age of two and has drum sticks tattooed on his forearms. Now how about that for conviction? Big Jay grew up in church and that’s where he got his start playing the drums in Miami at New Province Missionary Baptist Church. He and his family moved to Decatur, GA around the age of 8 where he continued playing drums at a few other churches. He now currently plays at Thankful Baptist in Decatur, GA. Big Jay performed an eclectic song entitled “Habits” which is an explanation of why some of us have habits. Another artist on the performance roster on that promising night was the one and only “Blac Ice”. On the contrary to his name Blac Ice was bright and very warm. His real name is Dominique Grier born in Covington, GA makes his own tracks and is an artist outside of the studio…. On the canvas, that is. But when it comes to his music, Blac Ice describes his music as “feel good” music. A night filled with promise and endless stories yielded two more rendezvous with two more dynamic individuals who didn’t perform that night but are definitely distinguished in their own right: Torentha Clark whom is a singer, playwright and producer has a play currently touring at the Carver Theater in Birmingham, Alabama and Tampa, Florida; entitled “A funny thing Happened to me on the way to the Apollo”, and is co-producer (alongside Thomas Robinson, and Malcolm Robinson) of a stage play entitled “Sojourner” (touring in Atlanta) Torentha was #4 on the billboard in Japan and has great success in record sells in Great Britain. He has worked with gospel greats such as; Yolanda Adams, John P. Kee, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong to name a few. Chica Simone is the last but not least of the people that I had an intimate chat with that made the night and the event what it was. Chica is a fiery woman of many facets. Once a radio personality at 106.5 in Atlanta, now has a booking agency Book it All Entertainment, and a traveling talk show called “Let’s Get it All Out”. Her ultimate goal is giving back to the community through philanthropy. A colorful night of colorful people painted the portrait of a distinctive quality of loyalty and homage to 2hot4radio’s editor in chief Jovan Myrick. Ladies and gentlemen the story doesn’t get more interesting than this, and the story can go on and on. If you are an artist or entrepreneur, then join the movement at 2hot4radio where the people are too hot and can not be stopped. Remember, 2hot4radio hosts different events at different venues. So join us where radio is not the final frontier.
