Bittersweet Records of Chicago is considering signing one new act.
The next act we take on must qualify in several areas.
If your're a rock act; over processed guitars, with average rhythm sections need not apply. Rock acts with a great keyboard a definite plus. A great acoustic guitar player who sings well a plus. Singers in the rock category must have a vocal range in the baritone bleeding up to tenor registers and must pass image muster. If female, alto's are fine, only size 0-3 need apply. Cliche rock images need not apply. Songs and recordings that can be linked to influences in the last 30 years need not apply. Rather a classic rock mix ensemble is preferred harkening back to the days pre 1975. Acts must be road ready and tested. If you can't take stage directions and will not listen to image direction you need not apply. Highly volatile personalities need not apply.
If R&B/Soul; cliche minor 7th and major 7th modal vamp bands need not apply, we don't want to hear regurgitations of the same old stuff that has been tried for the last 30 years. Pre 1975 mix is desirable. Melodies with stong recognizable content a plus. Quasi rap acts with lewd lyrical content need not apply. R&B acts with a rock edge a plus. R&B acts with a heavy Jazz influence a plus. Female lead singers a plus. If female lead singer is in the act, only women size 0-3 will be considered. Must be road ready and tested. Highly volatile personalities need not apply. If you can't take stage directions and will not listen to image direction you need not apply.
Artists are to be warned up front, we know what we want to hear and what we want to see on stage. Our label will direct artists as to what direction we wish them to write in. We will not be held hostage to an artist's whims. You must be able to listen to explicit directions from management.
The act we select will be fashioned into a show under our direction. We run the show the way we want to see it appear on stage.
