The EMA Launch Benefit featuring Crystal Method’s Ken Jordan, DJ Rap, Paul Watson, The SYN Experience, Jim Carson & Mike Teez, and DJ Eva & Oscure on Friday, June 3, 2011 was a huge success!!!
EMA’s mission, is to become the “Sound of Change,” supporting global culture & planetary sustainability through many initatives, with the help of the electronic dance community.
100% of proceeds went to benefit EMA, a charity project of our parent non-profit, Green Wave.
The stunning SYN Experience, an interactive show by Jeff Smith of Eye Vapor and Evelyn Vaccaro of Vaccaro Productions also debuted at EMA Benefit: https://profiles.google.com/u/0/synexperience?tab=mh
Jeff Smith and Evelyn Vaccaro are EMA charter members and combining talents to create a mesmerizing style of interactive multimedia content. The SYN Experience represents the depth of quality and aesthetic appeal achieved by Evelyn and Jeff. This is a nine minute production provoking rave reviews from the crowds experiencing it, as well as the interest of Hollywood producers.
LAUNCH was held at the newly renovated $20 million dollar super club, The Belasco Theatre : http://www.thebelasco.com/
Our EMA Icons Ken Jordan & DJ Rap played a set together. Static Revenger threw down a wicked set as well as our double teams Mike Teez with Jim Carson (crowd favorites) and DJ Eva with Oscure (insane breaks & bass-heavy dubstep). Captain Paul Watson from the Sea Shepherds, graced our audience with a short speech about the importance of our Oceans and the life on this planet that operate our spaceship Earth. An amazing night! We raised over $3,000 from tickets and other donations and have joined the Sustainer’s Circle of Amazon Watch as part of our commitment to our Million Acre Initiative.
