One of the most popular independent artists in South Texas, David, currently the #1 regional artist in all genres on Reverbnation, a veteran of SXSW and Texas Indie Fest, has been touring with much success as an acoustic player and with The David Martinez Band playing both local and regional shows. David has done three US tours and recorded three professional records.
Airing on radio coast to coast and internationally, David's music has been heard regionally on C101 Rocks 'Area 101' with DJ Monte Montana, on 106.5 The Shark, on 94.7 Jalapeno Country, on KPFT and KETR, on AM 1670 Dewberry Jam Community Radio in San Antonio, on Radio Katy in Katy, Texas and of course on Texas Select Radio.
Having shared the stage with such musical greats as Ian Moore, Vallejo, Billy Joe Shaver, Johnny Rodriguez, and the Statesboro Revue, David and his band returned to the Mathis Freedom Fest this past 4th of July Weekend to rock the festival stage in Mathis, Texas.
Completing his successful 2016 summer tour including dates in New Braunfels, San Antonio, and Austin, David and the band have played regionally at:
House of Rock, Executive Surf Club, Cafe Calypso, Vino Mio, Exchange CC, Riley's, Mesquite Comedy Club, Gator's, Vernon's BBQ, The Nest, Port Royal, South Texas Icehouse,Brewster's, TGIFridays, Boathouse, Iron Horse, Holiday Inn, Pier 99, Landry's, Schlitterbahn, Oyster House, Lucky Lounge, Tapology, Lazy Beach, Izzy's, Red Shed, Billie Jean's, Bella Luna, Sand Bar, Surf Club, Twisted Murphy's, American Bank Center, Rattle Inn, and Texas Indie Fest 2, a regional celebration of independent music presented by Match1 Entertainment and Indie On Air! Records.
Marina Arts is a big supporter of musicians in the local South Texas scene, and David recently performed at the Grandview Lounge Mural Mixer Launch Party. He also plays at other civic events including the Bay Jammin' Concert and Cinema Series at Cole Park, coming up this season on June 22nd with local singer Steven James.
