To understand what our goal is, you have to really be a serious hip-hop head, poet, rapper, writer, producer, or an ordinary person that looks at life in a realistic perspective!! The hip-hop community has been around for 30+ years, and in those years, artists have cover a whole bunch of topics. All the way from comedy, and goofy topics, to political, and serious topics!! We appreciate the variety in hip-hop, besides that's what breaths life into the art!! Now our goal at BLACK PHOBIA RECORDS is to bring back all that variety during the same decade, and not in spurts! Life is a collective of events, lessons, and growth. We feel that the art form is being sabotaged. 10,000 rappers all speaking on the same topics, and if you'd investigate most of those industry artist, you'll find that their resume is in question!! Their credential are to be questioned, especially when they're suppose to be representing for the masses of under privilege communities, and voices! Just a thought...(I'm from the streets, and I've seen people elude the law in criminal activities for years!! Why..?? When you grow up in the hood, you have to be creative, and stay five steps ahead of the law!! Now how can you get millions of dollars, and become so ignorant and so stupid that you start catching these cases, that you see all these hip-hop stars catching!! Maybe it's because they wasn't who they said they was before they got hoisted into the spot light!! Drug dealers, Pimps, Strippers, Prostitutes, and any body who's really from the streets, knows how to deal with celebrity, because they were already that way, just on a lower level.) All they're songs are about what they got!! so to all the people that are not having, then I guess you're just not in that loop!! They're only making the youth kill more, steal more, deal more, and not keep it real more then the generation before them!! Prisons are overcrowded, "WHY"... Because of this fairytale lifestyle that's being perpetuated to our youth!! Now don't get me wrong, you might hear some of the same topics from some of our artist, but "KNOW" that their "WILL" be a balance to the negative portrayal of our people, and communities! It's always more then one side to a story, and all we're hearing is the glory!! Let's tell the truth about the downside of all this hustling!! Give anyone whose thinking about going down that path, a realistic picture, so that they can make a sound decision about their life, and it's direction!! Not to mention we will interject when the time is right, topics that hasn't been addressed!! You know they say.... "REAL RECOGNIZE REAL"!! Well.. we're going see!! We would like to think it's more real people out here then fake, but that would be being too optimistic!! If you doubt me....then say it!!! If you don't believe me... then speak up!!! To me there's nothing worst the a man/lady that can't, won't, and don't speak there mind. Stupid or not, it's your thought, get it off your chest. That keeps you, in an open, honest relationship with anyone, or anything you're involved in/with. To be in the present of a person, with false or bad intentions is wrong, and deceptive!! That normally ends with a more disastrous effect. Someone you could have used for your short/long journey in life, instead you came off life a enemy and burnt your bridge, and now your past is full of people you don't/can't even turn to, all because you wasn't honest!!
