In the studio this month and through the summer is Jennifer Nasto who, as many may know, recorded her Christmas CD here and has become somewhat of an "out of nowhere" sensation in the Christian arena. She is on the top 10 Christian charts here in Michigan and works with writers from EMI's Christian Music headquarters in Nashville. If you think her voice was outstanding on the last CD, just wait until you hear the upcoming mostly-original release later this year!
We also have Black Jack Persia who is recording their first full-length CD project with us. This young and outstanding band is quite original and has won several competitions; one of which put them as a featured talent at the Digital College Network concert in Florida! Not many young bands earn the right to a fullly-paid road trip gig! Watch this band as they utilize their talent, looks and energy to propel themselves into becoming a recognized force, nationally! You can find them all over the internet, just type the band name in your browser.
Rapper, Dre, with Laidback Entertainment continues to work on his CD and it is going to be a hot release. The beats Dre has chosen are a solid fit with his lyrical style and rap prowess. Dre and I have worked together on one track that has a cross-over type style between rap and rock that will sure make all listeners tap their feet.
The much anticipated "DoLo the Great" CD (Laidback Entertainment) is finished and will be released, shortly. It will be released as a series of singles and then, the entire CD. This is because each of the songs have been test-marketed with so much success that it is best to release singles to give each song its due recognition. DoLo is a defacto rap force that can MORE than compete with the likes of M&M and other Detroit rappers.
Watchdogg Division's Maxx Julien's next CD, "I'm Ready", is in its final mastering stages. You can hear the track "Michigan Living" on the studio website. Maxx's (what I like to term) "Pop-Hop" style is extremely commercial and you should look for his works playing on everyday radio!
