I am offering the opportunity for aspiring artists, producers and songwriters to have their material to be heard, evaluated and professionally critiqued.
I am regularly inundated with demos from people looking for direction and counseling on their music from an industry professional.
Your songs will be evaluated on originality, music/melody, lyrics/hook, commercial appeal and other factors.
Please note:- My song critiques are extremely honest, and may sometimes be frank, but any criticisms are ALWAYS constructive.

Magnetic Sound Collective focuses on atmospheric, sleep, ethereal, space, meditative, piano and vocal ambient, Musique concrète and sound healing, as well as some music that would fit into the new age genre. The Mousai Project focuses on the development and promotion of female only ambient.
The idea is simple. Provide a resource and hybrid record label that is listener and artist friendly, making releases available to listeners free, legally, or offering them for sale through traditional purchasing prices with the option to pay what you want. This puts great music in the hands of anyone that wants it. It also allows the listener to choose the level of financial support they want to provide for the music. You retain all rights, we provide our artists with group promotion monthly, in alternative media that in 36 cities across North America.
Entries can also be made for free directly to Magnetic Sound Collective. If you submit through Music Xray there is a $4 transaction fee but it is the preferred method since the platform makes it easier to handle submissions, communicate with the music artist or band, allows for the songs to be rated with each submission, presents more than just the song(shows artist image, lyrics, licensing, links to other sites, song information, etc..), gives the ability to share more songs through the submission interface, along with many other benefits.

Jon Purdey has been finding success on Music Xray as you can see on the success story page. He was nice enough to post some kind words on Get Satisfaction and followed up with this really nice email sharing his experience with us. Here is what he had to say:
“I just wanted to say a big "thank you" for the many opportunities that you offer aspiring Artists.
You simply have the best platform, pricing and processes out there. I never imagined how many successes I'd enjoy, with such a variety of Professionals in different areas of the industry, until I started submitting through Music Xray.
One of the things I really appreciate is the way that you are assured of getting feedback. If a track isn’t accepted then at least you know quickly and, in a lot of those cases, I’ve found the Music Professionals will provide constructive feedback (even when they don’t have to) to help shape the tracks for future submissions.
My experiences with Music Xray & the Team continue to be awesome. Thanks for making it all possible and keep up the good work!”
Thanks Jon and we appreciate you and your music as well!
