Booking Two Venues - Redeeming Features Entertainment

http://www.musicxray.com/profiles/970

Redeeming Features Entertainment is a Sydney based company offering artists a range of services, including booking for two popular venues, the Lewisham Livehouse, open to a variety of genres, and the Roxbury Hotel.

We are currently looking for new acts for two venues.

Lewisham Livehouse: Proud supporters of all genres of music, the Lewisham Livehouse has a 200+ capacity room boasting a great stage, with sound and lighting installed. There are two glass top merchandise tables in the room, where bands can sell CDs, etc. Bands are compensated after expenses are met based on draw.

They try to book 4-5 acts per night and work hard to match the acts with genre in mind.

Door staff, Sound engineer and PA are all supplied by the promoter. The wages for both door and sound staff are taken out of the door take before acts are paid. They are working for the bands on the night, so naturally their pay must come out before anyone else is paid. The Lewisham Livehouse pays their staff well and they run the gig in a professional manner.

Production costs are split evenly between the acts playing that night. The rest is paid to the acts according to how many people came and paid to see them.

The Roxbury Hotel:

The Roxbury Hotel has a capacity of 250, offering two rooms for live music. The downstairs entertainment area is for acoustic acts only and the events are run on Friday and Sunday nights. The upstairs Roxbury Room features bands on Saturday nights.

They try to book 4-5 acts per night and work hard to match the acts with genre in mind.

They are looking for bands in acoustic and rock related genres. The Roxbury Hotel does not desire metal, hardcore, punk or screamo. Door staff, sound engineer, mics and PA are all supplied by the promoter. Set lengths are normally 40 minutes.

Bands will receive a percentage of the door, as the same terms as Lewisham apply. If an act does not bring enough people, they must pay the shortfall for their share of production costs. Selected acts must keep in mind bands need to bring as many people as possible to their gig.
