A Successful Music Publisher is looking for "HIT Rock Songs" with strong hooks -- that would be good for a young Rock Band, Ages 11-12. There are two lead singers, one male and one female. This isn't your typical Kid band that you think would be all Disney, Pop, Mickey-Mouse type songs. This band needs songs with teeth. NO LOVE SONGS as they are only 12! Think back to when you were that age and some of the difficult things you had to deal with and you wanted to express yourself, but maybe at the time you didn't know how. These kids can express themselves through the music but they need help finding the songs. Their influences include "Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Cream, Rolling Stones, The Who, etc..." As for vocal range, they are young so think the same range as Sting (though they don't sound like Sting)...avoid the low range of singing. The ideal demo would have a kid singing on it, but its not necessary.

Before submitting, know that if you are selected, you will be sent a short term exclusive publishing contract for the song that allows the publisher to shop it for placement with this band. If the song is successfully placed with the band, the publisher will own 100% Publishing perpetually. You will maintain your writer's share.

Solange, is an American recording artist, actress and model. Knowles was born and raised in Houston, Texas along with her older sister singer Beyoncé, a former member of R&B group Destiny's Child. Showing an interest in music recording at an early age, she eventually broke into the music scene at 16. She has released two studios albums: Solo Star in 2003 and Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams in 2008.

Aside from recording, Knowles has ventured into film, modeling, and entrepreneurship. She co-launched the junior apparel collection Deréon, a sister line to House of Deréon that was established by her mother and sister. Knowles has been compared to her sister by the media, but she dismisses the notion, saying they are artistically different.
