Is Your Song Radio-Ready?

Opportunity: http://www.musicxray.com/profiles/1808

With 10+ years of DJ experience at CBS radio stations in Chicago and Los Angeles, I'm happy to help you get your songs radio ready. Why not address the concerns of radio BEFORE you submit your music to radio programmers?

Formerly known as DJ Smurf, a pioneer of Euro and Progressive music in the Midwest, Dan Morrell can rock a crowd with the best of em! Whether Dan is in the clubs spinning at the best parties, on the radio releasing new material, or in the studio producing hits, he is constantly surrounding himself with new challenges and opportunities. Hard work is nothing new to The Mixmaster as he started his musical career in college as a campus favorite DJ. It was from his determination and talent to play the best music that he landed an internship at the number one Chicago radio station, B96. As an intern, Dan quickly learned the in’s and out’s of the entertainment business and knew he wanted to be on the radio.

Alan's Heartfelt Song Gets Picked Up By Charlie Mac

http://www.musicxray.com/success-stories#AlanJamesLorden

Alan James Lorden is the creative director of Rusted Gate Music, a music development, arranging and production business based in Raleigh, North Carolina. During his elementary days, he started playing classical piano and trumpet and then transitioned to jazz and pop music playing piano and Hammond B-3 while in high school. He attended Hartt School of Music after high school and worked as a recording engineer/studio musician in addition to playing in many popular local bands throughout New York and New England. Then he drove cross-country to Los Angeles where he worked in many areas of a music profession as a studio musician, arranger, sound engineer, performer and music instructor. He also wrote for students, indies and a couple of feature films, which gave him some great experience with orchestration. Now in North Carolina, Alan has been working as a producer/arranger for local songwriters.

He informed us of the success he got using our platform. This is what he sent to us: "The song is We Were Right. It was picked up by Charlie Mac. Some of the music industry professional's comments were 'This is a very heartfelt song, with so much character and meaning! We believe this song could do well in radio as well as both the film and television markets.'"

HUGE EVENT: I Am Looking For Live Performances

Opportunity: http://www.musicxray.com/profiles/1852

Recently, I have been contacted by an executive director that is overseeing an awards ceremony for top business owners. I was informed that he is needing live performers for June 2012. The event will be held in Florida and business owners, as well as investors from all over the world, will be attending. This has the potential to be very big for an artist; this gig could lead to other gigs involving business owners and investors. It was mentioned that this event will be televised giving artists great exposure!

They are needing 6 acts; 1-2 slot has already been reserved. This listing is subject to end quickly once the slots are filled. Each act will perform live for 45 min. If chosen, they will provide air and hotel if you do not live in Florida. The director did mention that he would like some Spanish/Latin performers to satisfy investors and business owners of that culture. Again, other genres are needed as well.

If any of the artists that I send to them are selected, they will get paid for doing the event. Right now the price is $300.00 for the 45 min. plus travel; we are still negotiating. I will also see if the artist can sell their CDs at the event. This will be a 75/25 split of all monies made at the event in favor of the artists.

Please send your best songs and if you have a youtube of your live performance add the link with your submissions. Being able to perform LIVE IS CRUCIAL and you must have a professional appearance and attitude.

NO Instrumentals or profanity for this listing.

Good Luck!

When Reid Speed began spinning records in 1996, she first generated curiosity as one of few female DJs at the time. However, she quickly earned respect for her talent in the highly competitive New York City DJ scene. By the summer of 1997, she was working with rave promoters Stuck on Earth Promotions and the following year as a member of the Direct Drive crew. Play Me Records, her label, is a leading force in the American end of dubstep and fidget house. Reid has now a second label, Play Me Too Records. As one of the first US DJs to champion speed garage & 2 step (which have become today's fidget house and dubstep), her new label's quick rise to the top of the dance charts reflects her continually forward thinking musical evolution.
