Women of Substance Radio celebrates talented female performers in many genres with great songs.
We are creating a special themed show to air during July and August called 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Fun in the Summer Sun". We are looking for songs about having fun with friends and enjoying the summertime. Think "Soak Up The Sun", "Get the Party Started", "Walking on Sunshine" or "Man I Feel Like A Woman". Keep in mind, this is still Women of "Substance" Radio, so we are not just looking for dance music or pop "fluff" but for music with something to say.
We play Indie artists alongside well-known label artists and will use that format for this show as well. We will be choosing the music for this show by July 3 and the show will begin airing on July 7. The show will air 3 times per week for the months of July and August, so this is a great opportunity for exposure.

Lucas Hoge, another new artist trying his luck at Country Music, in addition to his TV career. Looking for Country and Crossover, uptempo. It’s been nearly 10 years since Lucas Hoge left his humble hometown of Hubbell, Nebraska. Small but mighty, with a population of 50 generous people, almost all came to support Lucas during his farewell concert, surprising him with $2,500 to invest in his dream. Lucas hit the road strapped with a little cash, a lot of love and everything he owned in his 1994 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Driving through the night, in Music City by morning, Lucas Hoge had reached his destination wide-awake in his dream. Lucas learned quickly that it takes more than moving to Nashville to get noticed. He sacrificed, working diligently around the clock to form the foundation in which he built his career upon. Lucas spent his first year in town living in a 500 square-foot apartment, working full time in construction. Evenings were devoted to performing in the honky-tonk hotspots up and down Broadway and every weekend, dedicated his afternoons to writing. Things started to look up for Lucas when he got a call from Warner Brothers to tell him that they would feature his song, ‘If I Only Could’ on their hit show ‘Smallville.’ “I was really excited to get the call from Warner Brothers. I watched the show all the time, it was one of my favorites, so to have my song in Season 5 was surreal.” Shortly after, Lucas scored a HBO TV series, wrote a jingle for Lipton Tea and took his talent to the studio where he recorded two country albums and a Christian EP.
