My role as a manager in the music industry started when I was introduced to Desmond Gpk Wheeler. His story inspired and moved me. His Story,("Imagine waking up one morning and finding out you had two weeks to live. I can say I have had that unfortunate pleasure. It doesnt take long to see all the things in life that need to be changed about yourself. I was Diagnosed with AML Leukemia. A very aggressive blood cancer that can kill you in six months...I had two weeks left and it was only because I stopped drinking that I noticed I was sick. I needed a bone marrow transplant for there to be a decent chance at survival.....the transplant itself carried a 40 percent chance of cure....and a 50 percent chance of dieing within the first 100 days...There was also a chance of many other complications due to the procedure...all of which are life threatening...it wasnt looking good..I had the bone marrow transplant in December...on my birthday...I spent almost two months in hospital......Im so glad to be alive!") He continues to inspire me each and every day as a musician but more importantly as my friend.
