"TIMELESS"

After listening to the new album called "Timeless" by Ivana I was amazed on hearing what I heard. With this being her second album which includes all original songs, she has a voice that explains it all. "Timeless" is just one of those albums that is very heartwarming and heart felt lyrics to support those feelings. Ivana seems to tell a story of her life, She has tremendous vocal arrangements that project this very thing on all the songs. I particularly really enjoyed the songs "Closer to your Heart", which to me has real emotional value and is expressed through Ivana's voice. Thoughout the album it continues with the story and begins to paint a picture musically. One of the other songs I really liked was "All roads lead to you" which is a sound that carries you with it, and allows one to feel real, expressive feelings and is just a great song. The song "Meet me in a Dream" is just another reason why we have "love songs" on the radio and this song in my opinion should be playing on the radio if it isn't already, yet another "Timeless" song. All the songs when hearing this album is like Ivana is actually singing to you personally, and I tend to enjoy this type of song & music simply because I get the feelings the singer or in this case songwriter is singing directly to me. Ivana on this album really makes it worth your while. She is extremely talented, so talented I did not want the album to end. However, I did a little homework and listened to her first album and that was equally great. Ivana has a real sound and has planted her voice in my music memory and is indeed "Timeless" and I wish her well in the future and continues her musical journey and looking forwards to hearing more of her in the future,

"EVERYTHING TO ME"

I have probably been exposed to a lot of music in my life, however upon discovering Kelly Auty and her album "Falling for you" I think I have found the goldmine of country superstars. Throughout the entire album she sings the songs like I have been listening to her all my life. She brings life into all the songs on this beautifully packaged CD. This is a very well produced album and I fell in love with almost every song I heard, from the song "Everything to me" to "Falling" and "All we got" Her sound is unmatched and made me believe there is actually superb music artists out there. This lady has a sense of style and sound really lives up to what music and talent mixed together should sound like. I was astounded to hear the everlasting smooth, sound of her sexy but real style she brings to the microphone when she sings the songs on this album. The one song that brought real feelings for myself was "You can't stop love, yet another reason to continue my quest to find and review the most talented artist around the globe and actually write about them. Kelly proves that talent is out there, you just need to look and find it. I am very proud to have written a review for her album and this is a must for any person that is out looking for just that sound, in my opinion Kelly Auty has it, and I have found it. I look forward to hearing more from her in the future. Steven F. Adams c2016 used by permission

'FINDING HOPE"

After listening to the album "Shine Forward" by Oneg Shemesh, I found that this is really a down to earth album that feeds you all colors of music genre. The album Shine Forward brings all sounds and is very soulful which adds full flavor to the songs and the albums complete sound. I caught myself listening to the song a lot of times I am referring to the song "I believe in you" which has a catchy, but very good sounding rhythm sound and sing along lyrics added to it. The way I describe it is pop with more. All the songs throughout the album have a smooth sounding flow to them with added flare of the rhythm guitar and ukulele played by Oneg and collectively fro members of the band. It just makes a real good album. All songs on this album are written by Oneg himself, and the album continually flows from one song to the next without breaking it up. The album has a really good feel and mix to it. I enjoyed the song "Finding Hope" with it;s added sound of orchestration was a wonderful sound, a sound I haven't heard in a while. The album just has a heartfelt feel to it and his band brings it to life with sounds emitting from all the instumentation . Song after song I seemed like as if I was listening to the radio. This album envelopes all genre of music from reggae, to pop to rock and others, it just fits. all these added true dimension to the album. I will "Finding Hope" that the "Tide" is on their side for this album, and looking forwards to the next project from these talented artists.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD

Upon hearing the group Bryan Howell & the Standalones from Oneida New York, my first sound I hear in my ears and my musical pallet went to the sounds of the Clash, then maybe Gin Blossoms. As I listened further into the latest EP entitled "Welcome to the world" I heard sounds of Punk, alternative and early 80's college radio songs. However as I listened more intently and spun the CD in repeat mode for another spin I heard a sound that is very unique in style that started to evolve from my speakers. I can't really begin to put a particular sound or genre on it, but the best way to describe them as rock and roll with a twist. All the tracks on this album are very well produced and Bryan & the Standalones seem to evolve into a great sounding band. In this day where it is rare that you find a band that equally compliment each other and able to create a sound as unique as this style and keep it consistent throughout the entire album. One of the songs on the album "Baby don't look back" is a very catchy and seems as if it will fit right in with the current radio mix. This band is truly talented and one must give a listen twice to really feel and hear the true talent that is showcased on this album. I must say "Welcome to the World", the world of Bryan Howell & the Standalones.

SO DELICIOUS" AND FROM DOWN UNDER

Fast cars and sitars huh!! sound like well I am not sure. I am sure of the sounds I heard from the moment I listened to the most recent work of Mr. Rhett May, entitled "Fast cars and sitars". I have not heard sitars being utilized in musiuc since probably Ravi Shankar introduced them within the sounds of Sir George Harrison of the Beatles. The album starts of right of the bat with a rendezvous with Rock, blues and with George Harrison. The rhythm section is out of this world and mixes superbly with the sitar sounds that saturate the album. The album mixed with the guitar, sitar and rhythm section and the use of phasing and the harmonies add the full flavor of this great mix of lyrics and music. The song that really got my ears attention was a song called "my baby's got style is one of those songs that add pizzazz and flare to an awesome mix of blues and rock and just great lyrics. Another song that I really found myself listening to was the "violence of ice" which tells a pointed story through the vision of music and adds just that much more depth to the album. The album continues to buzz with songs like "so delicious" which has really good riffs and lyrics that match up really good and provide an earful. The album and it's full content tell a complete story and adds an element of mystery and in this case a good mystery, Throughout the album song after song kept me entertained and wanting more. Rhett May defines the power of song and lyrics throughout this album and with the added accent of sitar ever present throughout the album has got me wanting and looking forwards to more and his future works. seasons change and with it brings refreshing sounds

From the pages of "bluenote" jazz archives, every now & then you hear a distinctive sound of true jazz artistry. From the haunting sounds of Cole Porter, and Johny Mercer comes the latest and most refreshing jazz to hit recent memory of mine. Laurie Dapice brings the sounds of great american standards with real echoes of the late Dinah Washington to life. Her voice that could be compared to others like Abbey Lincoln. Despite all this she has a voice that carries out angelic melodies, some which term as a blues artist, but truly a jazz vocalist. The most recent work of Laurie Dapice entitled "parting the veil" flows like the wind through the trees on a cool spring evening. The one who is fortunate to listen to this album must really and truly appreciate it for it's continual flow when it presents the song " you'd be so nice to come home to" by Cole Porter. this followed up with songs written by Laurie herself, "goodbye summer" you will be truly transported into the feeling , moving into "winter Waltz" written by Laurie also. For the true jazz, "american Standards" connoisseur this album is a real treat & is now in my collection.

"simply love"

The latest work from Clear Water Drum is superb. I have always this style of music, however this one of those albums you must keep within reach at all times. This album volume eleven continues the magnificent sounds of the band that clearly open your ears and mind to what really matters. It makes one feel & realize what we all share in common with eachother. "love" I am truly blessed to having to know Mr. Spyder Webb and Ms. Tekakwitha through their message through music, my hope all will see, feel and maybe even act out what we have in common 'love" , after all it is how we were all born out of. This is one of my best kept secrets, but it is always "calling everyone to dance" and continuing to "pray for all nations. Thank you Mr. Spyder Webb & Ms. Tekakwitha for allowing me to be a wonderful part of your lives and my prayer is that others will follow this dream and make it our realities and the world a better place for all.

"GOOD OL' RHYTHM & ROCK

From the time I received my copy of Danny Roberts & the Plumptones and started listening I felt it was fun music, in which will get people off their chairs and dance. The music sounds I heard has a catchy flare of of good ol cajun country mixed with a flavor of Marshall Tucker band and other southern rock acts. On one of the songs called "whiskey Row" seem to share a softer side of "Barry McGuire" and "George Thorogood", I also heard subtle hints of "Poco". I had a real good feeling on the song "both hands on the wheel", which has a really good sounding rhythm section and catchy lyrics sung by band leader Danny Roberts himself. All in all this album a a good strong vibe throughout. i enjoyed the continual rhythm sound throughout the entire album. it has great lyrical content and the one is fortunate to hear this for the first time is in it for the ride. c 2015 Steven F.Adams www.soundwaveenterprises.vpweb.com

Lou Mars Band.candy bars and rock n roll

When I first saw the name Lou Mars, I thought to myself what kind of name is this? When mentioning this to others the name seemed to be a new candy bar? maybe, even a new ap for your phone, allowing you to count days til we land man on mars. However, I did some homework and inquired about this Lou Mars and found was a music artist and a damn good one at that. As always I ask for for a demo of his music and he greatly responded and sent me a copy of his work. I am the type of person who must listen three or four times to an album before really forming an opinion or how the album flows and the body of music that surrounds. The album that I have been listening to the last few days is Lou Mars Band. The album from the beginning visits "heavy metal"fused with "new age" guitar sounds. Each song seems to reach into the dark area of the 70's vibe with the sounds of the early 80's guitarists. Some riffs are "Billy Squire" sounding while biting off chunks of beatle istic lyrics. The album throughout has very eclectic guitar works. The album, it's entirety really has an FM sounding rhythm . I never utilize a numbering or lettering system to rate any artist that I listen to, I just state what I hear and attempt to let people know the way I heard it.. All in all this is a very good album and look forwards to hearing the latest from this band.
