We are once again legitimized by our fellow film community. In 2003 I got nominated for best animated short for the Sacramento Intl. Film Festival in the Student Films category for #PhilBobandtheAppleTree which is up for several festivals now, but now I have a new film to share with you which is our first project as a class, rough raw and even not perfect the film goes back to the days of the #FrenchNewWave breaking the fourth wall and involving the viewer in the process of making the film that would later come out called #TheTurningPoints with #DanteHall and #BenHarp by #DillonBarrera and Directed by #JoelJohnson as seen in the film #TheDirector which is the making of that film. Are your minds spiraling a film-concept wormhole yet? Sounds fun! A trip to a Television Film Studio with the SRJC class where we produce our own talk show and make a BTS film about making it. I'd like to thank Ultimate Ears Pro for having Joel Mastamind Johnson as an in ear monitor endorser for a year! Thanks for being supporters since 2007 when we were last signed and working with them when Tech of the Coast studios & Mastermind Productions SJJR LLc were new as an indie label. We had Brad and Mike as our reps and we worked together for 5 years and then I took a multi year hiatus. One year ago, I started my audio degree program and signed with UE Pro as an engineer. I'm now celebrating a year of working with UE Pro. We are in the studio using their UE 5 Pro and UE 6 Universal in ear monitors on my 10th anniversary release of my solo album Joel Mastamind Johnson 'SOULS' out April 19th 2024! In 2024 we will be using the UE Reference Remastered AMBIENT in ear monitors for mastering, mixing live sound, and performance live. As of the date of this notice MAR 24 @ 7 AM all digital distribution on all services outside of our current distribution partner have been discontinued in agreement with the new digital distribution contract. We will no longer be distributing music directly on ReverbNation on any distribution services including but not limited to YouTube, SoundCloud, and any 3rd party sites and now all music will be carried by our label Tech of the Coast on our distributor Too Lost who services most DSPs around the world and works with indie labels to provide distribution to their artists. This will allow us to offer distribution to artists we record. This way we will operate as a label and continue to be a service provider to talent in the industry. We don't want to compete with our own distributor so our music videos and former music only content have been removed from distribution by all previous partners and will be re launched on release day by Tech of the Coast & Too Lost distribution. The exciting news is we will be back on most stores around the world and also eligible for music charts when our release comes out. One door closes as another opens. Yo Boy Pade is working in the studio on new music. Covid 19 split the musicians and forced them into a home studio situation. Multiple projects came out of those works and the new album is in the works now. A few of the riffs and jams have been posted on Reverbnation, a common platform for demoing new material and emerging bands.
YO BOY PADE has been working on a series of solo albums for release in the next couple years after the pandemic is under control and music returns.
In the mean time we launched 3 releases from our guitarist MASTAMIND, "SOULS," his debut rock album as the solo artist MASTAMIND which is his entirely self produced masterpiece that has been #1 on reverbnation since 2007, "ROARIN 20Z" is every vocal feature we have done in pop and rap since 2007, and "EMERALD CITY B SIDES" is a live DJ set streamed from the 2017 Emerald Cup we did on the go.
So far the band has written about 20 songs for their debut record that will be narrowed down and re worked with the label in 2021. We manage our own indie label hosting such acts as our solo projects and bands that have us manage their recording and digital media from design to live design and studio production to live sound.
The band have been working on songs and collaborating via social media since 2017 and we finally decided to demo some material here before we get wrapped up in the Yo Boy Pade project which will be followed by more music from Mastamind's project. We are always working toward our goal of returning to live music, for now we will be needing to stay a recording act. As we have new music to share we will be demoing songs. Stay tuned.

Yo Boy Pade is working in the studio on new music. Covid 19 split the musicians and forced them into a home studio situation.
