Greetings, Autumn is our favorite time of year and with many changes happening, the golden red leaves bring a sense of stability to this crazy world. Here at symbolic insight, the music we create, perform, and promote is a direct sonic reflection of this unique moment in time and providing a new soundtrack for this new world of ours. This Fall we are excited to make available two albums for international distribution, the new release, Ghost Knife by XISIX, and the classic release, New Improved Formula by entropic advance. We are excited to announce that entropic advance in now on SPOTIFY and PANDORA, so now you can listen to dozens of tracks for free. symbolic insight studios is getting settled in our new location in North Denver. bios+a+ic continues to dj at events and on air for KGNU, and we will be in Denver to dj the Dark Goddess Festival on November 10.

new improved formula, entropic advance This album was originally release in 1999 when entropic advance was based out of Seattle, Washington. It features bios+a+ic on processed trumpet, vocals, samples, Noise Poet Nobody on beatwork, synth, and slide guitar, and Jim Deal on beatwork, sax, and turntables.The album is described as dark heavily manipulated beats and drones which drift into lush ambient experimental soundscapes. This release sounds as if it could have been recorded this year which demonstrates how far entropic advance was ahead of their time, until now.

bios+a+ic vs. biaxial creep (symbolic insight) features bios+a+ic's lush processed trumpet & lead vocals combined with biaxial creep's amazing beat & synthesizer palettes. The album combines classic electronic influences such as Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, and New Order with more current influences such as Autechre, Gridlock, and Nine Inch Nails to create a groundwork for something modern and completely original. The production team of Wesley Davis and Swante Jauch has assembled a diverse, cohesive, and unique sonic release, which is an evolution of industrial, IDM, glitch, synth-pop, gothic, and ambient styles. From his studio based in Nederland, Colorado, Davis is responsible for the final polished sound of the album by reworking the original raw beat programming, synthesizer lines, and various samples and then adding his own unique flavors. Jauch created the original arrangements and sonic structuring, along with melodic cores and the majority of the rhythm programming at his Mothlight studios in Seattle, Washington. entropic advance, live at Seattle Art Museum, a rare ambient performance of electro-acoustic manipulations, was recorded on September 13, 2001, a few days after the World Trade Center towers were destroyed in New York City. This release documents a unique live performance which features, bios+a+ic (trumpet, vocals, samples, loops), Noise Poet Nobody (rhythms, slide guitar), Jim Deal (loops, turntables), and Xaxis Wye (synthesizer). The music is a fusion of experimental improvisations and electronic rhythms, which were composed specifically for this performance and will not be found on any studio album. Heavy effects processing create unique palettes, sounding like music pipped in from a distant other world, which are mixed with news sound bytes of falling towers and Afghanistan to create an epic surreal listen.
